Elma grew up between Oban and the Isle of Seil, where sea air, wild skies, and quiet shorelines wove their way into her imagination. After studying at the Glasgow School of Art, she always knew the tides would carry her home again. She spent many happy years running a guest house, and now spends her days creating artwork inspired by the place that raised her.
