Hi, I’m Helen. After many years wandering the world as an English teacher and trainer, I find myself in Argyll and I’m very happy to be here. I’ve been an avid knitter and crocheter since I was a child and added spinning when I lived for some time in the Western Isles. I love the whole time-consuming but amazing process of going from raw fleece to finished garment. I knit and crochet hats, gloves, scarves, blankets and shawls for both kids and adults, some from my own hand spun yarn. My favourite thing to knit is brightly coloured baby socks, because they are so darn cute!! I volunteer at Dunollie Castle, helping with their textile collection and am also a member of their Stitch ‘n Spin craft group which is open to all.
