Arthur was raised and educated in Argyll and is a graduate of Glasgow School of Art in graphic design. His early career was with the BBC, then he taught design in colleges for many years. Arthur is now retired but focusing on three main interests: writing, painting and illustration in his studio overlooking Loch Awe. All of his work is inspired by Argyll’s native forests and the animals who make their homes there.
