After many years wandering the world as an English teacher and trainer, Helen found herself in Argyll and is very happy to be here. She has been an avid knitter and crocheter since she was a child, and added spinning when she lived for some time in the Western Isles. She loves the whole time-consuming but amazing process of going from raw fleece to finished garment. Helen knits and crochets hats, gloves, scarves, blankets and shawls for both kids and adults, some from her own hand spun yarn. Her favourite thing to knit is brightly coloured baby socks, because they are so darn cute!! Helen also volunteers at Dunollie Castle, helping with their textile collection and is also a member of their Stitch ‘n Spin craft group which is open to all.
